Other Countries Respond to Wireless Cell Phone Harm
Last month, the National Human Rights Commission issued health notices concerning the potential dangers posed by the radiation emitted from mobile towers. The National Human Rights Commission is responsible for the protection of human rights in a variety of areas. These notices were issued after the National Human Rights Commission received various complaints concerning the radiation that is emitted from wireless towers particularly since the introduction of 3G and 4G service technology.
The complaint cited that in addition to the number of mobile towers in the vicinity of residential areas, there is an excessive amount of radiation being emitted from the towers. Globally while scientists continue to reveal new findings suggesting that cellular technology contains a very definitive link with cancer in individuals, some countries like the United States continue to argue that cellular phones do not pose such harm.
Other Countries Recognize Cell Phone Harm
Outside the United States, many other countries have begun to recognize the cancer risk posed by cellular phones. In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer classified cellular phones as devices that possibly cause cancer in humans. This study was mainly based on two separate experiments, conducted by the Swedish Hardell Group and Interphone. These studies suggest a link between mobile phone usage and some types of brain cancer particularly when the cell phones were used frequently.
The Vienna Medical Society has also recently issued warnings regarding the dangers posed by cellular phones and even recommends users to speak as little as possible and infrequently as possible on cell phones, maintain a great distance from cellular phones when the phones are connected by using a speaker or headset, do not place the phone close to your body for long period of time, and never use a cell phone while traveling in a vehicle because the radiation will be higher, and that driving distracted while using a cellular phone can lead to dangers.
